Total Chaos Doom II Mod Now Available On Flathub

Total Chaos mod

Total Chaos, a Doom II mod that runs on the GZDoom source port, is now available for easy Linux installation from FlatHub.

Flathub is an app store and build service for Linux that distributes applications as Flatpak packages, which allows them to run on almost any Linux distribution.

After nearly a decade of development, the open world survival horror mod was officially released two weeks ago, and it includes 6 chapters set on a remote island known as Fort Oasis. The Total Chaos mod introduces many new graphical features, including 3D models and high resolution textures.

In Total Chaos, you encounter new creatures every chapter, each with their own unique attack patterns. While there are guns in the game, the ammo is hard to find, so to fight them you'll have to often rely on pickaxes, shivs and garden tools. Some of these items can be crafted and/or upgraded.

The Flatpak package (which has a size of 1.5 GB) does not require you to have a copy of Doom 2, or download and install anything else. It includes GZDoom (a source port of the Doom engine) and Freedom (a Doom-compatible free replacement).
